New York, April 26 – It is with great satisfaction that we communicate the results of the side event “Giovani resilienti per l’Agenda 2030”, which was successfully held from 23 to 27 April in New York. This important event was made possible thanks to the contribution of the associations Progetto Alfa and Campus Salute, which enjoy special advisory status with ECOSOC, demonstrating once again their dedication to the development and empowerment of young people.
The moderator of the event, the Director of Instituzioni24, Massimo Iaquinangelo, managed to guide the discussion by involving every featured rapporteurs. Among the participants there were Pasquale Antonio Riccio, President of the association Progetto Alfa and Campus Salute, Enrico Maria Borrelli, President of the National Forum of the Universal Civil Service, Rossana Arianna, delegate of the Campus Salute Onlus to the National Youth Council, and Laura Massoli, representative of the Department for Youth Policies and Universal Civil Service.
During the event, the rapporteurs drew attention to the importance of universal civil service for young people, recognising it as a valuable opportunity for civic, human and professional growth. The need for an evolution of the universal civil service to address the new challanges and needs of young people was evidenced, thus contributing to the achievement of the ONU Agenda 2030 objectives.
Laura Massoli presented the future challenges of the Department for Youth Policies and Universal Civil Service, highlighting the importance of ensuring equal access and introducing new principles closer to young people and territories.
An important aspect of the event was the possibility given, by the Director of Institutions24 Massimo Iaquinangelo, to all the viewers to intervene and ask questions, encouraging the exploration of the issues dealt with.
Finally, the president Pasquale Antonio Riccio, expressed his final thanks, stressing the importance of making the world aware of Italian efforts in the development of civil service, and the importance of the collective effort for the completion of international objectives.
This event demonstrates Italy’s commitment to promoting the active participation of young people and the implementation of the principles described in the ONU Agenda 20230.
